We’ve answered your most common questions so you can book your space with confidence.

  • Our Co-working Studios are built for diverse hairstylists, MUAs, nail artists, lash artists, aestheticians and other beauty creatives looking for a flexible, professional space - without the pressure of salon rent or long-term commitments.

  • Yes, our Co-working Studios are purpose-built for beauty professionals, from hairstylists and nail artists to skin aestheticians and lash artists. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, full-time or part-time, we’re here to support your journey.

  • Each booking includes your own private pod with a salon chair or beauty bed (depending on the layout you choose), a streaming tablet, complimentary WiFi, towels, ring light, braiding tree, cleaning included, and access to our shared backwash and kitchenette. Plus, unlimited tea, coffee and snacks for you and your clients - and your own booking dashboard via the BlackOwned TRIBE app.

  • Each pod is uniquely styled - perfect for content, client work or both - check out our spaces here! You’re welcome to bring props or small set-up items that make you feel at home, just be sure that your belongings are taken with you at the end of your session.

  • We’ve got the essentials: microfibre towels, ring lights, shampoo/conditioner, salon capes and chairs/beds. Just bring whatever tools and products you need to carry out your specific service - we also have limited storage for your items if you’re booking multiple days.

  • Once registered, you can book directly through the TRIBE app. You’ll get your own dashboard to manage bookings, track credits, view upcoming events, and connect with other members. Sign up for access here.

  • You’re more than welcome to book a tour of our space before joining our TRIBE! Simply drop us an email at info@black-owned.co.uk with your preferred day to visit.

  • Nope. Book by the day, only when you need - total flexibility, no contracts.

  • We’re based in Manchester city centre (M4 4HF), just a short walk from Victoria Station with great bus and tram links. There’s on-street parking and £3.50 all-day parking at Red Bank Car Park (cash only).

  • We’re the UK’s first co-working studio built around Black beauty culture. Our space centres cultural understanding, community care and creativity combined with total flexibility - so you’re not just working in a pod, you’re part of a movement.
