BlackOwned started with a simple question: why isn’t there a space for us? As a Black woman who grew up struggling to find Afro hair services and products that truly worked, I knew the beauty industry wasn’t built with us in mind - not as customers, and not as creatives. BlackOwned Studios + Marketplace was born from that gap: a space that celebrates Black beauty in all its forms, front and centre. More than a studio. More than a shop.
